We spoke to Tesla executive Rick O’Keefe, who told InsideEVs by phone that he took his Tesla’s service to Musk and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk before he bought the car. We asked O’Keefe what it takes to keep Tesla and his company focused on driving their products to market.

“Tesla and GM have been working together for years now. They can’t afford to continue,” O’Keefe said. “Their sales are very strong, and they are trying to do things the right way and I think our teams can do that. We believe at the start of this year, we would like to keep this company focused on the next-generation Model 3. I think the longer it goes on, the more likely it will be we hear more about this car being sold somewhere and we’re not doing that.”
