Jeep Cars in Kenya

Jeep Cars in Kenya
The United Nations reports that there is no national or independent monitoring of the use and performance of the Jeep cars, which is used for military vehicles, in Kenya. An international organization called the Security Council has urged Nigeria to take steps to prevent the destruction of the vehicles.
An attempt to kill 2 gunmen with a “mini jeep car” was a success, killing 2 people, the U.N. says, in Zanzibar last November. As a result of the attacks in Zanzibar, the security council decided to temporarily ban the use of such vehicles.
The latest reports say that in addition to the attacks in Zanzibar, in Mokkala, and in other locations in the South, two gunmen who had previously taken part in the March 9 attack killed 11 children. Their names were not released.
The Nigerian military’s anti-mine campaign in the country is under intense public criticism, and also involves a number of other attacks against journalists, especially on public transport and schools, in particular in central areas of the capital.
